These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the ChapterNotes website chapternotes.in and learning app at app.chapternotes.in and our mobile apps (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
The Service
ChapterNotes offers free, chapter-wise study notes and a gamified practice app for exam preparation (such as NEET and CBSE). The Service is provided for educational purposes.
Eligibility & accounts
You may browse website notes without an account. The app uses Google Sign-in to save your progress. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure. If you are a minor, you must have a parent or guardian’s permission to use the Service.
Acceptable use
- Use the Service only for lawful, personal, educational purposes.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
- Do not misuse feedback or reporting features.
Educational content & no guarantee
We work hard to make our notes and questions accurate, but the Service is provided for study support only. We do not guarantee any particular exam score, rank, or result, and content may contain errors or become outdated. Always cross-check with official syllabus and sources. References to NCERT, CBSE, NEET and similar are for educational identification only; the respective owners hold their rights.
Intellectual property
Except for third-party materials identified as such, the notes, questions, design and software of the Service are owned by ChapterNotes and protected by applicable laws. You may use them for your personal study. You may not republish or redistribute substantial portions commercially without our permission.
Third-party links and services
The Service relies on third parties (e.g. Google, Supabase, Vercel) and may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChapterNotes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (in the app: Home → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these Terms; we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
