Best NEET Practice App for 2027: 6 Apps Compared

Updated 10 October 2026 · every competitor detail below was checked on its Google Play listing or its own website on this date

Short answer: no single app is the best NEET 2027 practice app for everyone, so pick by what you need most. For practice tests made by the exam body itself at no cost, use NTA’s Abhyas AI; for full video courses, PW; for a NEET-only paid test series on an NTA-style screen, NEETprep; for the largest chapter-wise PYQ bank across many exams, MARKS. Embibe suits students who learn from 3D concept videos, and ChapterNotes suits students who want to revise a chapter’s notes and then practise questions on that same chapter in short, game-style stages.

Disclosure: ChapterNotes, the team that runs this site, makes one of the six apps compared here. We have kept it at the end of every list and written down where it falls short. Where a company does not state something on its listing or site, the table says “not stated” instead of a guess.

NEET 2027 practice apps compared

Question counts are the number each company publishes, so they are not measured the same way. Some count only NEET questions, some combine NEET with JEE, and one site gives two different numbers. Treat them as a sense of scale.

“L” is lakh and “Cr” is crore, as Google Play shows them in India. 10L+ means over 10 lakh (1 million) installs.

Abhyas AI (NTA)

Best for: practice tests from the exam body, at no cost

This is the National Testing Agency’s own practice app, listed on Google Play as Abhyas AI by “NTA eGov Mobile Apps”. It covers NEET (UG), JEE Main and UGC NET. You get full-length mocks, subject-wise tests and one chapter test for each chapter, in English and Hindi.

To take a test, you download it, switch on flight mode and attempt it with no notifications, then reconnect to submit. The analysis afterwards is detailed: correct and wrong answers split by whether you were within the ideal time, subject-wise marks per minute, and a downloadable Mentor Report PDF.

The gaps: the listing gives no question count and no previous-year question bank, and it says the test screen “may not exactly represent the actual examination”. Its 3.1 rating is the lowest here, from 91.2K reviews. Sign-in uses government identity services such as Meri Pehchaan (APAAR ID), which takes a little setup.

PW (Physics Wallah)

Best for: full video courses with live classes

PW is the biggest app on this list by a wide margin, with over 5 crore installs and a 4.7 rating from 14.1 lakh reviews. Its NEET page lists 766,137+ NEET PYQs and practice questions, 11,713 DPPs and 798 mock and chapter-wise tests.

PW sells full courses, and the question bank is one part of them. Paid batches such as Lakshya, Arjuna and Yakeen include live and recorded lectures, DPPs with video solutions, tests and doubt-solving. The Lakshya NEET 2027 batch page states a fee of ₹4,800, and its other batches have their own prices.

If you only want to practise questions, a full batch is more than you need. The PW listing also states that the PYQs and mock tests in the app are created by PW and “are not official exam papers”, so check the source when a question matters to you. The listing does not say what you can use without signing in.

NEETprep

Best for: a NEET-only paid test series on an NTA-style screen

NEETprep makes nothing except NEET prep. Its site describes mocks on an “NTA-identical interface layout and question format” with a per-subject timer and a total timer, and a scorecard with a rank estimate after every mock. Every question comes with an audio-video-text solution, and the paid batches add recorded lectures.

For NEET 2027 its site lists Target Batch Ascend at ₹3,998, the Target Batch Vital test series at ₹3,350 and a Biology Masterclass at ₹1,799. There is a 3-day free trial with no card needed. The app rates 4.3 from 37.9K reviews, with 10 lakh+ installs.

The site gives two question-bank figures (“8L+ MCQs” on the homepage, “40,000+ practice questions” in the FAQ), so it is hard to know the real size. You need to log in to start practising. The Play listing text still mentions NEET 2025 and 2026 courses, so read the website for current batches.

MARKS

Best for: a large chapter-wise PYQ bank across many exams

MARKS is a previous-year-question app first. Its listing covers chapter-wise PYQs for NEET going back to AIPMT 1988, plus JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, WBJEE, MHT CET and more, with solutions. It also arranges NTA Abhyas questions chapter-wise and states “1 lakh+ JEE Main and NEET questions”.

Around the bank you get custom tests, a quiz mode, formula cards, a daily practice challenge and bookmarks you can collect into notebooks. It has a 4.6 rating from 73.6K reviews and 10 lakh+ installs.

What MARKS leaves out: its listing and site do not state the price of any paid plan, whether there is a CBT-style mock screen, or what needs a login. The 1 lakh+ figure combines JEE Main and NEET, so the NEET-only share is not stated. There are no notes or lectures described for learning a chapter before you practise it.

Embibe

Best for: learning concepts through 3D videos across many exams

Embibe covers 345+ exams in English and Hindi, NEET among them. Its listing leads with 3D learning videos for every chapter, practice drawn from course books and 1,400+ other books, a diagnostic test, and an AI mentor that tracks your progress. A “Solve With Us” mode gives hints and speed tips while you work a problem.

Embibe’s help centre lists three plans: ₹799 a month billed yearly, ₹899 a month billed quarterly, and ₹999 a month billed monthly. Sign-up is by mobile number and OTP. The app rates 3.9 from 13.8K reviews, with 50 lakh+ installs.

Because it serves so many exams, its listing gives no NEET-specific question count, PYQ coverage or mock test count. The help centre also gives the free trial as 3 days in one place and 7 days in another.

ChapterNotes

Best for: revising a chapter’s notes, then practising that same chapter

ChapterNotes pairs short revision notes for each of the 96 NCERT chapters in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology with practice questions on that same chapter. You read, then test yourself on the same chapter straight away. Questions are chapter-wise and year-tagged, and every solution shows the full working plus why each wrong option is wrong.

Practice is built like a game, with short stages, streaks and XP, and a question you miss comes back once later in the same session. There are custom practice tests and a quiz mode. On the website there is a separate library of 105 NTA-style CBT papers with a timer, question palette, Save and Next and Mark for Review.

8,000+ questions is far smaller than the banks at PW, MARKS or NEETprep. There are no video lectures or live classes, and the app itself has no CBT mock screen (that sits on the website). It is new, with 100+ installs and no Play rating yet, and the Android app asks you to sign in with Google before the first question.

If you want to see the format first, open a chapter on this site, such as Human Reproduction Class 12 notes, or try a NEET 2027 CBT mock test. The app is on Google Play.

How to choose a NEET practice app

Start with where you lose marks. If you have not finished the syllabus, you need teaching before practice, so a course app (PW, or NEETprep’s batches) or a notes-plus-questions app (ChapterNotes) fits better than a pure question bank.

If you have finished the syllabus once, practice volume matters more. MARKS and the PW question bank give you the most chapter-wise questions to work through. Check the year and exam on any PYQ you rely on.

From about four months before the exam, full-length timed mocks matter most. Use Abhyas AI because NTA makes it, then add one paid series (NEETprep’s, PW’s, or another) if you want more papers on a familiar screen. Take each mock at 2 PM, the time NEET has been held in recent years, so your body gets used to that slot.

Two habits matter more than which app you pick. Review every wrong answer the same day, and give your main app a few weeks before you judge it. Switching apps every week resets your progress data.

For the syllabus, exam pattern and chapter weightage behind all of this, see the NEET 2027 hub.

FAQs

Which is the best free app for NEET practice questions chapter-wise?

Among the apps here, Abhyas AI from NTA states that it is completely free, with no subscription, paywall or ads, and it has one chapter test per chapter. MARKS calls itself a free app and has the widest chapter-wise PYQ list, though it does not state its paid plans. Free tiers change often, so check the listing before you commit.

Is NTA’s Abhyas app the same as the real NEET exam screen?

Not exactly. NTA’s own listing says its tests, interface and analysis “may not exactly represent the actual examination”. It is still the closest practice source to the exam body, so it is worth using alongside any other mock series.

Do I need an app with video lectures for NEET 2027?

Only if you are learning chapters for the first time without a teacher. If you attend school or coaching classes, notes plus a strong question bank usually cover revision. PW, NEETprep and Embibe offer lectures; MARKS, Abhyas AI and ChapterNotes do not describe any.

How many questions should a NEET practice app have?

A few thousand well-explained questions per subject, with every wrong answer reviewed, will help more than a huge bank you only skim. What matters is chapter-wise coverage of the full NCERT syllabus and a solution that explains each option.

Can I use more than one NEET app?

Yes. Use one main app for daily practice and one source of full-length mocks. Keep it to two, so your progress and weak-topic data stay in one place.
