Syllabus Overview

JEE Main 2026 syllabus is based entirely on NCERT Class 11 and 12 for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. No change from 2025 syllabus.

  • Physics: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetism, EMI & AC, Optics, Modern Physics, Semiconductor Electronics.
  • Chemistry: Physical (Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Solutions), Inorganic (s/p/d/f-block, Coordination), Organic (Hydrocarbons, Functional Groups, Biomolecules).
  • Mathematics: Algebra (Complex Numbers, Matrices, Binomial, Sequences), Calculus (Limits, Derivatives, Integrals, DE), Coordinate Geometry (2D + 3D), Vectors, Probability, Trigonometry.

Scoring Strategy: The 70-20-10 Rule

Allocate 70% of study time to high-weightage chapters, 20% to medium-weightage, 10% to low-frequency topics. This covers ~85% of the paper.
